Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Wattapp Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("ElectricPe", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use our website, mobile app, and retail services in India. It is compliant with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

Data we collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Identity data: Name, phone number, email, and Aadhaar/PAN when required for vehicle purchase or EMI.
  • Contact data: Address, delivery pincode, preferred city.
  • Transaction data: Scooter purchased, EMI details, service records, charging sessions on the ElectricPe app.
  • Technical data: IP address, device type, browser, and analytics events (GA4 + Microsoft Clarity).
  • Communications data: WhatsApp messages, emails, and call records with our support team.

How we use your data

  • To process your purchase, financing, warranty, and service requests.
  • To confirm test rides and send appointment reminders over WhatsApp.
  • To improve our product, retail network, and charging aggregator.
  • To comply with legal and regulatory obligations in India.
  • To send you marketing communications, but only if you opt in.

Third parties we share data with

  • Finance partners: HDFC, Bajaj Finserv, IDFC First, Shriram, Kotak, LazyPay, only when you apply for EMI.
  • Payment processors: Razorpay for deposits + one-time payments.
  • Messaging: WhatsApp Business Cloud API (Meta) for transactional communication.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics 4 (aggregated, anonymised) and Microsoft Clarity (session replay, heatmaps).
  • Charging networks: Only when you initiate a session through the ElectricPe app, limited to the network you chose.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Ever.

Data retention

We retain identity and transaction data for the lifetime of your relationship with ElectricPe plus 7 years thereafter, as required for warranty, tax, and regulatory audit. Analytics data is retained for 14 months. Marketing opt-ins you can revoke at any time, and we'll delete them within 30 days.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

  • Access a copy of your personal data.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Erase your data (subject to legal retention requirements).
  • Withdraw consent for marketing messages at any time.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.

To exercise these rights, write to our Data Protection Officer at dpo@electricpe.com. We respond within 7 days.

Cookies

We use strictly-necessary cookies (session, city preference) and analytics cookies (GA4, Clarity). No ad-targeting cookies without your explicit consent. You can disable analytics cookies in your browser, and the site will work normally.

Children

ElectricPe services are intended for users 18 years and older. If you believe a child has shared personal data with us, email dpo@electricpe.com and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Last updated 2026-04-01.
