Licence-free, registration-free riding in Bengaluru

Every ElectricPe scooter sold in Bengaluru is electronically capped at 25 km/h. Karnataka's EV scooter advantage

Karnataka was the first Indian state to publish a dedicated electric vehicle policy. The Karnataka Electric Vehicle and Energy Storage Policy of 2017 set the direction early - the state wanted to be the EV capital of India, build out charging infrastructure, attract EV manufacturing investment, and make EV ownership cheaper for citizens.

The most visible benefit for buyers is the full exemption from motor vehicle tax on electric vehicles registered in the state.
